Removable medial, lateral and posterior aluminium stays can be contoured to the shape of the leg prior to appliaction.

The unique 3 panel Universal system allows adjustment of the knee immobiliser to cater for all sizes of the leg throughout the course of the patients treatment.

The 3 panel Universal Knee Immobilisers are manufactured from brushed nylon with a soft fabric laminated backing for comfort and durability.

The sized Knee Immobilisers are manufactured from a durable cotton and lined with a padded brushed cotton interior for superior comfort and fit.

Description

Post-Operative (Post-Op) braces are used following surgery or after an injury. Many of these post surgical braces allow initial immobilization of the knee joint, followed by easy conversion to full range of motion.

Many post-op braces have adjustable hinges to control the degrees of flexion and extension. These hinges allow gradual and controlled range of motion as a patient heals.

Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure for the diagnosis and treatment of injured joints. Based on the Greek words “arthro” (“joint”) and “skopein” (“to look”), arthroscopy literally means “to look inside the joint.” In an arthroscopic exam, the orthopedic surgeon makes a small incision and inserts a pencil-sized instrument that contains a small lens and lighting system. This arthroscope is attached to a fiber-optic cable that is linked to a miniature television camera, enabling the surgeon to view the inside of the joint – for example, the interior structure of the knee or shoulder. The surgeon can then diagnose the problem and, if necessary, perform corrective surgery with specially designed instruments.
